QAZKOM promotes the environmental protection, granting credits and supporting the projects of clients which are aimed at energy savings and environmental preservation. Established bank rules strictly prohibit lending the enterprises that violate the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Environmental Protection.
The Bank is successfully developing the new resource-saving technologies. For instance, to effect the financial transactions remotely through the Internet portals Homebank and Onlinebank that allows the bank and its clients to make their contribution to the saving of nonrenewable resources (electricity, paper forms). The bank premises are equipped with modern equipment that allows to save water and electricity.
The Bank in virtue of its activity and according to the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan cannot generate itself projects which are based on clean technologies. However, in accordance with the program of industrial-innovative development of the country for the period until 2015, the bank undertook to favor the projects that are not related to the production and processing of mineral raw materials.
The Almaty City Administration together with QAZKOM have concluded the Memorandum "On public - private partnership for solving issues of social - economic development of the city in 2013-2014." This program is carried out landscaping and improvement of the ecological state of the city due to the development of the wast lands previously allocated for construction of multifunctional residential complexes, administrative and hotel complexes and other facilities.
